Hydrogen-Based Microgrid Brings Power to Remote Island Communities

Mynertia’s hydrogen-powered microgrid pilot project has successfully delivered round-the-clock clean energy to an off-grid island in East Malaysia.

The system integrates solar power, hydrogen production via water electrolysis, and secure storage. Electricity is supplied on-demand through fuel cells, ensuring zero reliance on diesel generators. This marks an important step towards replicating renewable hydrogen microgrids across Malaysia’s remote regions.
